My name is Dane Nealson. As owner of Beetus Entertainment, I’ve worked with over 100 couples and countless other community organizations and events since I started in 2018. My goal as your DJ is to provide a high-energy, interactive experience that creates great memories for you and your guests. My job is to make your big day as easy and worry-free as possible. I offer a simple pricing structure, which offers standard services for your reception including sound, dance floor lights, all song requests, microphones for speeches, and emcee services (announcements, table releasing, traditional wedding games, etc). Ceremony coverage is available as well if needed.

You may be asking, why the funny name for my business? For over twenty years, I’ve battled type 1 diabetes – or “diabeetus,” as Wilford Brimley always called it in those old Liberty Medical commercials. Each summer, I volunteer a week at Camp Hertko Hollow, a camp for kids with diabetes where I was once a camper as well. For each wedding or event I am hired for, 10% of what you pay is donated directly to Camp Hertko Hollow.

Who am I? I live in Nevada, Iowa, with my two children. I work as a pharmacy technician at my “day job.” I serve on the Nevada City Council and a number of nonprofit committees focused on bringing additional entertainment opportunities to Nevada. I invest my time in my community because serving others is my passion. I hope to earn your trust to be your DJ on the day of your wedding or other big event!
