My name is Dane Nealson. I founded U Can’t Beetus Entertainment out of a passion for music and for serving others. I have a couple of years of experience, serving as DJ for a number of weddings and receptions. My goal as your DJ is to provide a high-energy, interactive experience that creates great memories for you and your guests. My job is to make your big day as easy and worry-free as possible. My services include a Bose sound system designed for a room of up to 500 people, wireless microphones, standard dance floor lighting, and uplighting as an optional addition. I like to be as interactive as possible, including announcements, introductions, and popular wedding reception games, in addition to all the traditional dances.
You may be asking, why the funny name for my business? For over twenty years, I’ve battled type 1 diabetes – or “diabeetus,” as Wilford Brimley always called it in those old Liberty Medical commercials. Each summer, I volunteer a week at Camp Hertko Hollow, a camp for kids with diabetes where I was once a camper as well. For each wedding or event I am hired for, 10% of what you pay is donated directly to Camp Hertko Hollow.
Trust is a huge factor when hiring a DJ. My wife, Monica, and I were married in 2017 and live in Nevada, Iowa. We recently gave birth to our first child. I work as a pharmacy technician in State Center, Iowa as my “day job.” I serve on the Nevada City Council, am president of the nonprofit group Runners United Nevada, and volunteer in several different roles at the church I attend. I invest my time in my community because serving others is my passion. I hope to earn your trust to be your DJ on the day of your wedding or other big event!
